Marinelli Shows Us His True Respect For the Game of Football

It happened two weeks ago (or something like that). Foster gets the start over Cherilus and reporters were wondering why the coach wasn’t going with his young, developing “talent”. He indicted that he has too much respect for the game to hand someone a start, that it must be earned…

Earned like coming out of retirement and being handed a start after one or two practices!?

That sure seems to be how you’re handling Culpepper, coach. I’m to believe that Dante can walk on and hop behind the center after three practices and look like he has earned the position over Drew Stanton. Culpepper received a copy of the playbook on Tuesday.

This is what you’re shoveling down our craw, coach!? At least all the BS you were preaching the last 2 years has been consistent. Now its devolved into situational opportunism.
Either this start is being handed down over Marinelli’s head and he doesn’t have the balls to protest or he is a delusional fool that thinks somehow throwing a veteran quarterback into the mix will solve all the problems. Culpepper doesn’t know the terminology of this offense! How many plays can you memorize in 2 days? How on Earth is he going to have the timing down? This is MADNESS. This is Lions football.

Yet another indictment on the conclusion that the Lions are the most poorly run organization in football. Nay, all of sports.

Oh, and Deangelo Hall was released by the Raiders today. He played eight games for the franchise. Before anyone thinks we should talk to this guy, remember the Giants had a competitive offer on the table but he chose the god awful Raiders for an extra 10 million (Giants offered 60 mil I think, but he wanted 70). He has more greed in him than competitiveness, stay the hell away from this cancerous player Detroit.
