Perhaps Michael Strahan said it best on the Fox pregame show, to the effect that, "the Lions don't have the heart to play football."

That sort of supports what I've surmised after falling behind by 21 the first 2 games, that being: that the players are starting to bail on Marinelli.

And after today's debacle, am convinced Martz had pity on the Lions or the 9er's would've scored more, ..... after today's debacle the Lions are no better off than when Marinelli replaced Mariucci. Clubhouse cliques, finger pointing, playing for the paycheck rather than the team, etc. In fact the Lions are worse today than when they replaced Mariucci.

Marinelli, Colletto, and Barry all rookies in their organizational positions are totally overmatched, come gameday. They're positional coaches trying to be head coaches or head coordinators and it ain't working and opposing teams are exploiting their lack of expertise.

Same with Millen, 7+ years on the job, 31-84, the guy clearly is a mismatch to general manage a professional franchise. Opposing GM's drool at the opportunity to purge the Lions of what few talented players they have, giving back nothing in return.

As said on MLive, "enough is enough," the Lions have lost every shred of credibility they had and I don't believe one thing they say. And the only way that's going to change is if Bill Jr. convinces "dad" that sweeping changes are needed throughout the organization AND "football people" be put in positions that equate to their level of expertise, regardless of the strain it puts on the Ford family heirloom.

Might as well blow it up and start over, because its going nowhere but downhill as is.
