The Detroit newspapers are losing money hand over fist, and of the 2, the News is in worse shape than the Freep. Parker is already doing radio in NYC, it's time for him to head back to where it's obvious he would rather be. I agree, the quality of writing and commentary from many newspaper columnists leave much to be desired. I find much more compelling writers on the web. I didn't need the image of Berman + hacky golf swing + beached whale in my head. Between watching the Olympics (I'm addicted, I have CNBC on right now, watching ping pon...uh, table tennis), the Tigers (as bad as they've been, I'm still watching) and the Lions ( They've been enjoyable to watch, amazingly enough), I've been able to avoid the worldwide leader altogether for the past week and change.
