Denver’s Champ Bailey went to bat for his brother Boss Bailey today, dissing the Lions with the following statement…
“They didn’t use him right in Detroit,” Champ Bailey said. “We’re going to use him right here. I’ll make sure of that.”
Let me get a few things off my chest in regard to Champ’s derogatory comment.
1. Champ Bailey rarely, if ever, saw his brother play in Detroit.
2. For that matter, neither did anyone else. Thanks to his paper-maché knees, Boss was never on the field enough to be used in any way, let alone “the right way.”
3. When Boss did somehow find himself on the field between injuries, HE COULDN’T TACKLE ANYONE! And that was only when HE WASN’T OVERRUNNING THE PLAY!
The Lions have made more than their fair share of bad decisions during free agency, but letting Boss Bailey limp his gimpy kneed ass to the Broncos isn’t one of them.
