I don’t understand football, never have, and don’t like it much at all – yet I read your posts because ripping incompetent franchises to confetti makes me laugh. I don’t know whether that makes me sick and twisted or not, but either way keep it up.

That might work. At least it would give us a small amount of reassurance the Lions have some sort of plan in place.

That reminds me of something Sparky Anderson once did...

When the Tigers intorduced Sparky as their new manager in 1979, he told the assembled media "We have a five year plan." In year five, they won the World Series. When asked about his five year master plan, Sparky said the only reason it was a five year plan was due to the fact his contract was for five years. If he had signed a four year deal, Sparky claimed he would have said they had a "Four year plan." If he had signed a three year contract, it's then a "Three year plan."

I don't know if it applies to this situation, butI just love that story...
